for ur 2nd medakl.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Given a scale factor of 1/2, find the coords. for thwe dilation of the triangle w/ vertices at (0,0), (0,2), and (4,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As we said before, a scale factor of 1/2, will result in each coordinate of each ordered pair to be multipliued by 1/2. So you tell me, what are the new coordinates?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm... (1/2,1/2), (1/2,1), (2, 1/2) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For (0,0)..if you multiply 0 by 1/2, you get 0. So (0,0) should be the first ordered pair.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.. o_o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont see you listing (0,0).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You try the second pair.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(0,1)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try the third pair.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok cool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now you got it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just be careful with the arithmetic.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so umm now I see a graph one... just trying top learn ahead of the class... can you help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Post a new question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.
