OpenStudy (anonymous):

Subtract. –8 – 21 A. –29 B. –13 C. 13 D. 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its b I think

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

lol why are all the answer A?

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

No not quite. It helps when you are using a number line when doing these kind of problems or a calculater

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its not 13?

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

no it would be negative 29. two negatives together will usually make an bigger negative number. It can get pretty confusing. Thats why i use a calculator for this stuff

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Unless your assignment clearly states not to do so lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Subtract. –1217 – (–2139) A. –3356 B. –922 C. 922 D. 3356

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it C?

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

forget that i said that lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry caps

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

It would be C. 922. I wrote out the problem wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only need 1 more answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

At midnight the temperature was –3°F. By 5:00 a.m. the temperature had fallen by 12°F. What was the temperature at 5:00 a.m.? A. –15°F B. –9°F C. 9°F D. 15°F

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how to do a number problem like this so im gonna need help

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

At midnight the temperature was –3°F. By 5:00 a.m. the temperature had fallen by 12°F. What was the temperature at 5:00 a.m.? midnight=-3 5 am= -12 So this problem could be written out as -3-12

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

So the answer would be negative 15.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx :)

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Sure!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you really helped me im so grateful to u

OpenStudy (xmoses1):
