What are the solutions? 1/2x^2 + 2x + 3 =0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're going to get imaginary numbers or complex numbers should i say

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just use quadratic formula (-B+sqrt(B^2-4*A*C)/2*A and(-B-sqrt(B^2-4*A*C)/2*A

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Or complete the square using a few lines. :)

i'm confused :/

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Know about quadratic equations at all?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

learning. I told my teacher I needed extra help. But i didn't get any.

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

One thing is that there are three famous ways of solving quadratic equations. Do you know of them or even have a favorite?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the way @jrn1007 said. I just tried again and got (-2+sqrt(-2))/1 or (-2-sqrt(-2))/1 i do not know if it is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is correct
