@SolomonZelman
A subordinate clause cannot stand alone. But an independent clause can. For example, 1. We had an enjoyable weekend when we spent two days on Lloyd's farm. We had an enjoyable weekend can be a sentence by itself. Hence independent clause. 2. Before the sun came up, we had eaten a huge breakfast. Before the sun came up... this cannot be a sentence by itself because we dont know what happened before the sun came up. I hope you can do the rest on your own. :)
that covers most of it ^ XD
