Richard. Richard III's hold on the monarchy was not secure and the existence of the princes would remain a threat as long as they were alive.

Well from the true story but I'm pretty sure the play includes the same facts... right?

no think about it who was queen when shakespeare was writing these plays. It certainly was not a Plantagenet.
