My Essay is about throught the books Gilgamesh and Genesis humans have many interactions with God (or gods in the case of Gilgamesh) They pray to god, talk to god, they fight and obey/disobey the gods.. i need to pick a scene from gilgamesh where we see a man or man-like character interacting with God, and then compare it with a character in Genesis the interacts with God, what do both scenes reveal about the depiction of God throughout the text and what does it describe of the mans attitude toward God? I NEED SOME IDEAS PLEASE AND THANKYOU?!
In the epic of Gilgamesh, he is challenging the gods to obtain immortality for himself, throughout genesis people are either angering God and incurring his wrath or finding ways to appease him/her/whatever.
Basically characters in genesis are sh*t scared of God as he's an omnipotent badass, whereas our pal Gilgamesh sees the gods as tyrants, who keep the power for themselves while subjugating man. YAHDAYAHDAYAHHHHH,
