Is it just me or do we need a American Sign Language section?
It's just you. I don't see how people could answer the questions anyway :I
Thanks. They could explain the signs or attach files or draw a pic. :(
ASL isn't really an educational subject.
ummm yes it is
ASL is a minority-subject. It's not taught in the majority of schools. Only specific schools e.g., Special Institutions or Private Schools. Besides - it would be remarkably hard to help someone in ASL, when, in fact, you cannot visual represent something, other than, of course, linked pictures and drawings. OpenStudy isn't really built for that functionality. There would need to be a lot of things added in order to utilize the teachings of ASL and visually represent the signs. As of now, even if we did add the section, like many other sections, it would likely go unused and just take up space on the servers.
Nothing needs to be changed or taught it would just be a help section and the features that Open study already has would be sufficient for the job.
