Explain the processes that take place in the chloroplasts during the light-dependent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pigments absorb light energy, water is split releasing oxygen gas, hydrogen protons, and electrons. The energy of the electrons is used to drive photophorylation of ADP to make ATP. Hydrogen protons are used to generate NADPH. Electrons from secondary pigments are used to replace those electrons used to generate ATP.
