Simplify, showing your steps. Tell the property you used in each step. 1/2(1x2) + -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have the answer

OpenStudy (arrangement):

No..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if you dont have the NSWER cant help

OpenStudy (arrangement):

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I think if you solve the equation the answer is 0.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Did you mean \[1/2(1x^2) + -1?\]

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

@arrangement, you can't solve it b/c it is not in an' ...x...=' form, so my best guess is that they want to simplify.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you can say that \[1/2(1x^2) + -1.-->1/2x^2+(-1).-->1/2x^2-1\] would be your final answer.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

i am sure you cn name the rpoperties.

OpenStudy (arrangement):

Here's the exact equation. I just need to simplify it and tell which property I used for each step.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I'll simplify and you tell me the properties, ready?

OpenStudy (arrangement):

Okay, I'm really bad with properties though...

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\[\frac{1}{2}(1 \times 2)+-1\]\[\frac{1}{2}(2)+-1\] SO...\[2+-1-->2+(-1)--->1\]

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

@arrangement, good?

OpenStudy (arrangement):

Yes, thank you. :)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Anytime! i think you can do this faster and without help with a litttle more practice. Have a good day!
