How is genetic material organized in a prokaryotic cell? a. straight chromosomes b. dispersed throughout the cytoplasm c. circular chromosomes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dna in a prokaryote is usually found in loops inside the cytosol, it doesn't form chromosomes like in eukaryotes. Both B and C sound correct, but I'd guess B

Prokaryote ring-shaped DNA is also called chromosome. It's doesn't dispersed in cytoplasm and localizes in particular region in the cell - nucleoid. I think C is correct answer.
