what is the factored form of -x^2+x+42?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First rewrite it like this so we don't have to care about that leading negative coefficient. \[-(x^2 - x - 42)\] Then it becomes a standard factoring type thing, what adds up to -1 and multiplies to get -42?
