If parallelogram JKLM is rotated 270° clockwise around the origin, what are the coordinates of the endpoints of the side congruent to side KL in the image parallelogram? K’(-4, -6); L’(3, -3) K’(-6, -4); L’(-3, -3) K’(6, 4); L’(3, 3) K’(-4, 6); L’(-3, -3)

@ranga could you help me with this one too ?

OpenStudy (ranga):

Okay. If you remember the formula for 90 degree rotation counterclockwise you can figure out all other rotations such as 90, 180, 270, degree rotations both clockwise and counter clockwise.

OpenStudy (ranga):

If (A, B) is rotated 90 degrees COUNTER clockwise it becomes (-B, A) That is, switch the x and y coordinates and change the sign on the x coordinate.

OpenStudy (ranga):

Here they are rotating clockwise 270 degrees which is same as rotating counter clockwise 90 degrees. K is (-4, 6). Rotate it 90 degrees counter clockwise. It becomes (-6, -4) L is (-3, 3). Rotate it 90 degrees counter clockwise. It becomes (-3, -3)
