Can someone help me out with this question? Find the value of w if marc AC = 84°.
You may wish to consider a factor of 2. What kind of angle like w would subtend half the circle?
Would I have to multiply by 2?
Before I can say, I have to mark up the diagram. That is what I am doing now.
OKay thanks :)
The angle with measure w is an inscribed angle of the circle.
Diameter always cuts off 180º An angle like w that cuts off 180º is a RIGHT angle. There's a factor of 2 in there, somewhere.
There is a theorem about how to get the measure of an inscribed angle of a circle. @aayyadi Do you know that theorem? Or, have you heard of it?
Yeah, but im confused in which type of arc it is?
Wait! you said the inscribed angle..
The diagram has a lot of information on it that needs to be ignored for now. Look at the angle with measure w and look at the arc it cuts off and the measure of that arc. |dw:1383368509379:dw|
