Choose the word or phrases that contains the error. If there are no errors choose "No Error". According to researchers, the weapons and work implements used by Cro-Magnon hunters appear being actually quite "modern". A. "According to" B. "used by" C. "being" D. "actually quite" E. No Error
I would say it's C.
Can you explain your point?
because appear and being are both verb, they cannot be stick togther. If you want to keep appear, you dont need the "being". if you want to keep the "being", you need "are" in front of it. Since there is no "are"after the word "hunters". Therefore, i pick C.
Can you help me with another one?
Show me the question first. We'll see cuz my english is not really good as well. im a foreign student
The committee had intended both you and I to speak at the assembly; however, only one of us will be able to talk. A. "had intended" B. "you and I" C. "however" D. "only" E. No Error
@Preetha @khw20
i am not sure on this one, but my guess is B. I think it should be "both you and me" instead of "both you and I".
I think you and I does make sense. Take an example of "jake and me went to the party." It should've been "jake and I went to the party".
@khw20
