Please help me finish my hw, medal for first correct answer. =) Solve the quadratic equation by completing the square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ican help you to do it, but wont do it for you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how to do it -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x times 23 squared i think

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Just a reminder, no giving away answers, please, thank you. ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is what i got, its not an answer though 12/23 (x-3/2)^2 = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i did it, but it doesn't match any of my choices -_-

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

to complete the square you want to make a new polynomial that you can factor into a square. \[(3x^2 +9x +?) -(1±?) =0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is all greek to me -_- how am i supposed to do that?

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

find the answer to the question mark that will make the first part a perfect square, but whatever you add or subreace in you have to do to the other part to keep it even

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok this is all i can get, it doesn't make any sense

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

3 can only be factored to 1 and 3 so that part has to be \[(\frac{ 3 }{2 }±a)\] now find an a that would give you the +9x

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

forgot my x \[(\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }x±a)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just a moment

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

that is probably an answer from the quadratic formula \[\frac{ -b ±\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{ 2a }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it, just a moment

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

where a is the x² coefficient, b is the x coefficient and c is the lone number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

crap nvm i don't got it at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried to solve my problem with this: http://ge.tt/773xtzw/v/0 but it isn't working

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

what did you get lets see what you did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm i got nothing

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

stop trying to find another way to get the answer those won't be available for a test, and if your not interested in learning how to do it than i have a better use for my time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you go to connections @Emoticon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yesh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Me too!! I took this quiz and got a hundred !! Would you like some answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and that software does tell me how to do it, step by step. i was allowed to use it by my school because i have learning problems in math -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't talk about giving answers like that u will get in trouble

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well not answers, I'll show you how to do it, and you get the answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know what, i give up

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

lol everyone has problems learning math, it goes away by doing lots and lots of problems until you can recognize patterns and then know what to look for from the start and pick the best approach

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my doctor says it may be a mental problem doing math, that is why i get Fs unless i use the algebra software

OpenStudy (jusaquikie):

There's two paths in life, you can work hard and eventually overcome all obstacles or you can come up with a reason to justify why you can't do it, so you can quit trying. The thing about life is there is one forcing you to get to where you want to be except you. You can do anything, you truly can, or you can do nothing. Pick a path. Have a nice day, and good luck in your future.
