HELP.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what would you like help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ -\frac{ 2 }{ 3 } }{-12 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what kind of an answer are you looking for? (i.e. decimal, fraction, etc.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well... the final answer is 18/1 or just 18 because (the only way I can think of doing this without a calculator) 2/3 goes into 12 18 times, and since it is a negative number over another negative number, the fraction is positive--a negative divided by another negative is a positive number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope this makes sense (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is wrong but you were close it is 1/18

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

rewrite -12 as -12/1 then flip the second fraction, multiply straight across, then reduce
