Determine the y-intercept represented by the following equation: y=x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find y-intercept(s), set x = 0 and solve for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that means that y=0 so the y intercept is (0,0)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-intercept is y = 0. You need not list the coordinates.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but my teacher told me that an intercept is the point when the line cross the y or x axis and a point or in order to graph a point in this case the intercepts you need a coordinate that led you to the exact ponit in the graph where the line cross x or y axis. so thanks you really help me to understand that. :)

ok.
