Hi everyone! Can anybody show me how to solve this for x? cos(x) = (3xroot3)/2pi)

hero (hero):

If you have x's on both sides, then I don't think it is possible.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the reason i'm asking is because each function drawn on the cartesian plane intersects each other...i need to find the x and y values at their intersection

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i should also mention that each function was y=

hero (hero):

I'm aware of it. It's not possible to solve algebraically since there is no way to free up the x on the left without trapping it on the right.

hero (hero):

So you'll have to solve by graphing calc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah...i thought this problem was a big mess! :o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...thanks for the help Hero
