To construct a right triangle, Andrew drew a line segment and plotted one vertex on the segment. He then constructed a perpendicular segment that passes through the vertex. With the vertex as the center, he drew a large arc to create a 180 degree angle. How can Andrew ensure that the other two points he plots will make a right triangle? A. Plot both points on the arc. B. Plot one point to the left of the perpendicular line and the other to the right. C. Plot one point on the perpendicular line and the other away from the perpendicular line. D. Plot both points on the perpendicular line.
I know that one point has to be on the vertical perpendicular line segment and the other point has to be on the horizontal perpendicular line segment, but I can't figure out which answer states that.
Please, anybody?
