how do I solve the equations 3x+3y=-15 and 5x-9y=3 the process of eliminationt

3x + 3y = -15 ..............(1) 5x - 9y = 3 ..................(2) If you multiply both sides of equation (1) by 3, the coefficient of y will become 9. Then if you add each side of this resulting equation to each side of equation (2) the terms in y will be eliminated. Do you follow?
