suppose 16 coins are tossed. Find the probability of getting the following result using the binomial probability formula and the normal curve approximation. More than 9 tails.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Do you know how to find the required probability using the binomial probability formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

l have the formula but l am confused to put together

OpenStudy (kropot72):

\[P(10\ tails)=\left(\begin{matrix}16 \\ 10\end{matrix}\right)0.5^{10}0.5^{6}=you\ can\ calculate\] Next you calculate the probabilities of 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 tails. Then the 7 values of probability are added to find the required probability. Can you do that?

if you give little bit more explation or atlease on sample do the other questions..please

OpenStudy (kropot72):

What don't you understand about the calculation that I posted for you?
