OpenStudy (mathlegend):

You need to get the regular numbers to one side and leave the one with the "x" variable alone.

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

4x + 6 < -6 -6 -6 ---------------- 4x < -12 Do you understand so far?

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

@devonhinds I need feedback

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i have to divid 12 by 2

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

So now you notice the 4x is showing multiplication. So you need to do the opposite operation. \[\frac{ 4x }{ 4 } < \frac{ -12 }{ 4 } = x < -3\]

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

Do you understand @devonhinds ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
