Perpendicular lines have slopes that are opposite reciprocals.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

For example if the slope of a line is 3, the slope of its perpendicular is - 1/3

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If the slope of a line is - 3/5, the slope of the perpendicular is 5/3

So it has to be either the second or third answer.
