y=2x−8 write in standard form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so tell me what is standard form? (ex. y-int form is y=mx+b)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's y+2x= -8 because what you have to do is get the x and the y on the same side. Standard form is Ax + By = C so your basically transferring what you know from y=2x-8 into standard form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also the x and y in standard form are reversible. Hopefully this helped you =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shouldn't be y-2x since you subtract 2x to move it to the other side |dw:1383539080919:dw|
