Firstly, I'm not sure this has to do with the superposition of the waves.... But anyways ... what do you think?

I think that you're right - although it looks like I was initially wrong and it very much *is a superposition question; however, none of the answers on here deal with it correctly because evidently the real answer is that it varies from 0 to 4 times the intensity of the two together depending on how they interfere with each other. I think they're looking for A though, so I think that you're right. ^^
