Op-Amps generally have a voltage gain greater than 10^5 and using feedback you and drop the gain and increase band width and lower distortion.

the feed back in electronics has the same purpose like in real life, like if aperson has done goood thing if he gets appreciation he will try to jump jump and finally it may get in to his head and he will suffer in his quality work
like wise negative feed back improve his qulity of work
