How do you find the slope in (6, 9) and (-2, -3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you find the slope with the slope formula : slope(m) = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) (6,9) x1 = 6 and y1 = 9 (-2,-3) x2 = -2 and y2 = -3 now we sub slope(m) = (-3 - 9) / (-2 - 6) can you finish ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope(m)= -12/ -8= 1.5 so the slope is 1.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes...or the slope is : 12/8 which reduces to 3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so 3/2 is the slope of both of them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool thanks so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem :)

@kelliegirl33

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait nvm
