1. It teaches people to fend for themselves. It does not create a society dependent on government programs (like Welfare). 2. Government regulation and involvement has NEVER turned out good. Look at the gas regulations in the 1970s. Long lines because the goverment was no good at regulating supply and demand in a capitalistic society.
