@BangkokGarrett @e.mccormick @hba please help me...
f = 9/5c + 35 f = 1.8/c + 35 what next?
what is the question?
solve the equation...
to solve the equation you need to have a value either for "f" or for "c" now if you have to solve for "c" is another question. please clarify ?
This is all it says... Part A: Solve F = 9 over 5C + 32 for C. (4 points) Part B: Determine the value of C when F = 10 °F. (2 points) Part C: Solve –np – 70 > 40 for n. Show your work. (4 points)
ok, so is asking to solve for "c". part A
then you do the following: f= 9/5c + 35 (first you subtract the 35) so you have f - 35 = 9/5 c
then, you multiply by reciprocal of 9/5 which is 5/9 so you have (sorry it should be 32 and not 35) 5/9 (f-32) = c now you have
lol ohhh okay...
now for part B, just substitute the F for 10 and you have C = 5/9 (10-32)
do you know how to solve it?
Part c : Solve –np – 70 > 40 for n. Show your work first add 70 on both sides and you have -np -70 > 40 +70 +70 --------------- -np > 110
now divide by -p and you have -np > 110 --- ---- -p -p = p < - 110/p (remember to switch the sign)
For part b does it equal 39.6?
yes but negative
and one more question...is part c done or do i have to solve it now?
part c is done, but answer is n< -110/p
