Solve the compound inequality 6b < 24 or 4b + 12 > 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you want the steps or just the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

steps please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, first you have to separate both of the inequalities into two separate inequalities, so you have 6b < 24 , and you have 4b + 12 > 4. thats the first step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the second inequality would equal: 4b + 12 > 4 would be -2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the second inequality would be b > -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first inequality 6b < 24 would be b < 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer would be b > -2 0r b < 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok i get it now, thanx so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):
