this is what i found.. A double entry journal is a table. Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. One half labelled "Quote" the other "Response" (You can change the titles obviously, those are just what you're going to be doing). The first column will consist of all your quotes. Depending on your quote will depend on how you write it in MLA. Generally though, a short quote will be written like this. "This is a quote from a book" (Author 24). The period/full stop goes at the very end. Use the author's last name and then page number of where you found the quote.
