There were delirious fancies such as the madman fashions. There was much of the beautiful, much of the wanton, much of the bizarre, something of the terrible, and not a little of that which might have excited disgust.

... Well, most would feel disturbed. Does that count? xD Actually, I quite like this type of fancy Victorian-Gothic type writing. Morbid, it is (lol Yoda-speak right there) Hmm... "delirious fancies" and "madman fashions": sounds like the Mad Hatter... I'm imagining some weird dude prancing around in weird clothing and singing odd songs right now... "beautiful": It leaves questions as to what kind of 'beautiful' they are referring to... "wanton": I think this word defines itself. Ew. "bizarre": It conjures up images of wacky costumes... LIKE LADY GAGA (sorry I had to lols)! "terrible": Again, leaving questions as to how 'terrible'... macabre? Morbid? "disgusting": Once again... leaving space for questions. What kind of disgusting; normal, sexual (yes sexual, in this context it wouldn't seem out of place) or violent?
