Using exponential laws can someone explain why (-5)^3 * (-5)^-2 = 5 I am getting -5? THIS WAS THE REAL QUESTION sorry --> (-5)^3 * (-25)^-1 = 5?

When we have the same base we can add the exponents so sould the answer be -5?

a negative cubed will be negative

-25 ^ -1 = -1/25

answer to the last one will be positive
