Given f(x)=7x-6 and g(x)=3x what is f(3) - g(2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is what I got 7(3)-6=15 3(2)=6 15-6=9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first, you substitute a 3 everywhere you see an x in the equation for f(x) and substitute a 2 for anywhere you see an x in equation g(x), then you subtract the first from the second. let me work it out and see if you're correct...

that's right!
