Well "intercepts" are when either x = 0 or y = 0 so lets try those out...make x = 0 here x - 3y = 9 when x = 0 we have -3y = 9 y = ? that will be your y-intercept....for the other one...make y = 0 ...so x - 3y = 9 when y = 0 we have x = 9 These are your 2 intercepts...now draw a straight line connecting the two
