what happens during photosynthesis
it's the process where plants, algae, and certain prokaryotes convert light energy into chemical energy. the equation for photosynthesis is: 6CO2 + 12H2O --> C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O. this basically shows that the plant takes in carbon dioxide and water and converts it into glucose, oxygen, and water. and there are two major parts of photosynthesis, the light reactions (which happens in the chloroplasts) and the calvin cycle (which happens in the stroma of the cell). hope this helps!
During the process of photosynthesis , light energy is converted to chemical energy and then stored in the form of bonds of sugar. The process takes place in the chloroplasts, using chlorophyll, which is the green pigment in plant leaves.
