The length and width of a rectangle are in a ratio of 3:2. The perimeter is 73 centimeters. Write an equation to calculate the perimeter. Find the length and width

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A ratio of 3:2 can be expressed algebraically as 3x:2x. You also know the formula for the perimeter of a rectangle. Perimeter = 2l + 2w (l = length, w = width) So you write an algebraic equastion that would solve the problem.

I'm still confused! Will it be like 3x •2x?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perimeter is twice the length ...+ twice the width so if the length is 3x, twice the length is 2(3x)...agree?
