The tenths place is the first place after the decimal point. When rounding, 5 or above changes the number before it up, 4 or below, the number stays the same. So for example .85 would become .9 because the 5 rounded the 8 up to 9, and .84 would be rounded to .8 because .84 is closer to .8 than .9. Knowing this, try to figure out what .96 would be rounded to.
