I need an outside resource for a science fair project. When creating a Daniell cell, one experiment calls for 1M zinc sulfate. What unit of measure is 1M? It's obviously not a meter--what is it?

Looks like a 1 molar solution to me. Molar is a unit of moles/L which is a solution concentration.
