Determine all interval(s) on which f is decreasing...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the derivative of the function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

set it equal to 0, and those are ur critical points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

put them on a line, pick values before, between and after the points, plug those values into the derivative function, see if they're positive of negative, and u have ur intervals...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@11calcBC critical points: 11pi/12, 7pi/12, -pi/12, -5pi/12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the derivative is 1+2sin(2x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would I get if I plugged in, let's say, 8pi/12, which is between 7pi/12 and 11pi/12 ?
