Help Please! Proportional Reasoning What is a better deal on a $500 TV, a discount of the %20, or two successive discounts of 10%?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
The discount of 20 percent. When you take 20 percent of 500, your price becomes $400. But when you take two 10 percent discounts, you get $405. After discount 1 it is $450 and then 10 percent off of that is $405.
