simplify y=3sin(3pi*x+9) into y=asin[b(x+c)] form

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

take 3pi as the common factor so the term c becomes 3/pi and b is 3pi a should be obvious

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay but how could b be 3pi when I need to find the period. That would make it 2 over 3?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well the period is 3pi/2pi so the period is 3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

period is 2pi/b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So therefor it would be 2/3. Okay, thanks for the answer.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

lol... oops... yes the period is 2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its okay lol.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

here is a graph just to check hope it helps

Thanks :)
