One year later, there were 73 deer in the forest, which is 19 fewer deer than were in the forest a year earlier. Which equation represents this situation? A. d + 19 = 73 B. d – 73 = –19 C. 73 – d = 19 D. d – 19 = 73

I there were d number of deer, and 19 were missing a year later, this can be translated to d - 19. Once 19 was taken away from d, we know that there were 73 deer. This can translate to d - 19 = 73
