Six is a rational number. true or false ?

OpenStudy (austinl):

Rational numbers are a ratio of one number versus another. Fractions. 6 is an integer, and not rational.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 is an rational number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rational numbers are the numbers expressed as the ration of the two integers or in other words we can say that if a Ratio of two integers are taken than that ratio can be termed as the Rational Numbers . The basic rational number is expressed in the form of ( p / q ) , where p and q are two integers . Lets us see some example of rational numbers : - 2 / 3 1 / 2 11 / 17 2 / 5 3 / 19 All the above examples are the examples of rational numbers. Is 6 a rational number or not? is the query that commonly come in our mind. Let us now take the example of number 6 .As 6 is an Integer , it can be re – written as a ratio of two integers that is 6 / 1 12 / 2 18 / 3 24 / 4 Since 6 can be displayed as an ratio of two numbers or ratio of two integers , there for we can say that 6 is a RATIONAL NUMBER . So , we can say that YES 6 is an RATIONAL NUMBER at the end of above study.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False. 6 is a rational number since it can be written as a fraction, 6/1.

OpenStudy (austinl):

True, forgot about that. My bad.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
