Water potential = Solute potential + Pressure potential
Water potential is about the movement of the water molecules.
In pure water, water molecules have high free kinetic energy.... therefore dilute solution have high water potential
Solute potential is the potential or force of attraction towards water molecules caused by dissolved solutes in the solution..
Solute potential is always negative, cause addition of more solutes reducs the water potential
