Find the total area for the prism.
Is there a picture that came along with it?
yes hold on
there, and it's only asking for the total area of the prism that's all
Volume is calculated from: length x width x height Since a cube has all equal sides (since it is consisted of all square faces) the length, width, and height are all the same.
Area is calculated from: length x width
144 sq in .? (:
Pretend that I am a student and you are the teacher. Tell me what you will do to approach the problem.
@itsamray How did you get 144 sq in?
Okay. I will let go of this explanation. You are correct for finding the area of the cube. Now you find the volume.
@calculusxy you told him to do length*width and that is what he did the length is 12 and the width is 12. 12*12 = 144
yeah that's what i did, 12*12
Good. Now find the volume. What would that be?
Did you find the volume?
are you still there @itsamray?
is this the right formula for total area of a prism, T.A = ph +2B
@Help_PLEASE_18
Yes it is
We know that a cube has six faces that are all squares. We also know that the area of one face of the square is already 144 sq in. Now you have to multiply 144 among the squares.
T = 2B + Ph
Hey @itsamray you have to work with us on this we can't just be doing this by ourselves and we can't just give you the answer.
