A major difference between "classical" Greek art and the art of the Hellenistic era was the introduction of bronze statuary during the Hellenistic era. the surprisingly small amount of money spent by Hellenistic rulers and cities on public art. the tendency towards realistic rather than idealistic portrayal in sculpture. that temple building nearly stopped.
