undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

The tables below show the values of y corresponding to different values of x. Table A x 3 3 2 y 1 0 0 Table B x 3 5 5 y -2 2 -2 Which statement is true for the tables? Both Table A and Table B represent functions. Both Table A and Table B do not represent functions. Table A does not represent a function but Table B represents a function. Table A represents a function but Table B does not represent a function.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

I think is c!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

why not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rule is that no x inputs can equal the same y-output.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This rule is violated in both tables: A: 3->0 2->0 B: 3->-2 5->-2

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

So its b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

one more!

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Please i do not understand it! Which of the following equations best represents the graph of a function f(m)? f(y) = m f(x) = m y = f(m) x = f(m)

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

you still there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = f(m) m is like x and y is the output, although this is a abad question because a person could assign any variable to the output so it could technically be x = f(m) too.
