larmark 's theory on evolution was that the species could improve their limb etc. by using them more but this was overruled by Darwin's theory of evolution that the species who became extinct were unable to survive. Now with Medal's gene mutation the species can indeed evolve into a different species by/ the geographic isolation and speciation. So in fact these species that no longer exist can perhaps be the parents of the now offspring of  species in today's world!!
