You give people medals by choosing to award them with the "Best Response" to a question. It can be found around their answer.

@JazzyMLee9   whats the idea of medals ?  I notice lots of people that have been given good answers never bother.

Hey, it's me again carlyn! The idea of medals (from my perspective) is to award people who you think answer your question the best. They could give detailed responses, be very polite, etc. You are also increasing their Problem Solving rank, which eventually increases their SmartScore. Since SmartScores are used to show people how helpful you are, you're showing others that the person who you think answered your question best, is a helpful person.

Oh! And it doesn't ONLY have to be the person who asked the question to award these. Anyone can give people medals! :D
